How to choose a menstrual cup... your guide

Which is the best menstrual cup for me?

How to discover the length of your cervix.

Here’s an informative guide to learn about your cervix height find the best menstrual cup for you. If you have any other questions, please visit our FAQ.

1. Wash your hands thoroughly including underneath your fingernails. Do not do this while you have nail extensions, wait until they are off.

2.Squat or put one leg on the toilet or a chair (You can try this anywhere in private) -  as if you were about to apply a tampon (for those not using a menstrual cup yet)

3. Insert your longest finger into your vagina, or whichever one feels most comfortable, and notice how far in it goes. You will feel a soft roof past which you cannot push. If you are not sure if it is the cervix “roof” or the vaginal wall, you can try to feel a dip or opening.

4. Use how far your knuckles go in to work out your cervix height. This measurement method is an orientation, as finger lengths vary widely, but it will definitely give you a closer idea of where your cervix sits.

5. Simply measure your figure and purchase a cup according to your results.

The Results

A High Cervix is if you measure 5.5 cm or 2.25 inches. If you cannot reach your cervix, then we believe you have a high cervix. Any size menstrual cup will work for you, but you may find a Copa cup with a long stem may be the best if you are anxious about being able to locate it easily. Do keep in mind whether you have had children, your age and your flow.

An Average Cervix is if you measure 4.5 cm to –5.5 cm / 1.8 inches to 2.25 inches. (2.25″)  Our Copa menstrual cup model or our Cute menstrual cup will work for you. (Again keep in mind age, flow etc).

A Low Cervix is if you measure 4.4 cm or 1.6 inches. We recommend our Cute Menstrual Cup. Remember to take account your age, menstrual flow and whether you have had children or not.

We have not added the Cute cup onto our product line yet. If you do want to order a Cute cup, please contact us directly here.
